The IT Service Desk is receiving reports that availability of outlook.cornell.edu appears to be improving, as is connectivity for email clients on computers and mobile devices (Outlook 2010, Outlook 2011, etc.)

Microsoft is investigating the issue. Some reports from users indicate that accounts that already logged in continue to be connected, but logging in seems to be not working for many. Microsoft Identity Services re-adjusted traffic to use the service capacity that was not affected by the networking issues. Microsoft considers the issue resolved and service restored. \n\nFor reference, the issue was only with the Microsoft Exchange Online service in the cloud, did not affect accounts on the CIT servers, and was widespread across the United States.\n\nDue to the outage, there may be temporary delays in delivery of some email.
