A very small number of email messages being sent from Cornell are currently being blocked by external mail providers that use SpamCop to control spam.

The issue is that Cornell is currently on the black list used by SpamCop, which means messages from the Cornell email system are being rejected as spam. This is a temporary block and should be lifted by 9 pm today (April 2).\n\nPREVIOUS DESCRIPTION:\nAs a result of events this weekend, Cornell is on the spamcop black list. We should be off by the end of the day.\n\nThe user experience of this is that they when they send email to an off campus address that uses spamcop, that ISP will refuse the mail and our user will get an error that says something like:\n\n (reason: 554 5.7.1 Service unavailable; Client host [128.253.83.163] blocked using bl.spamcop.net; Blocked - seehttp://www.spamcop.net/bl.shtml?128.253.83.163) The issue is that Cornell is currently on the black list used by SpamCop, which means messages from the Cornell email system are being rejected as spam.
