NYSERNet is currently working on a problem with the optical network equipment in New Paltz, a line amplifier site. The control cards for the node have failed and we are replacing them; normally this is a transparent process, but in this case it appears to be causing errors on some of the optical circuits between NYC and the rest of the network.\n\nThere are two NYSERNet IP network paths that use these circuits, and several members have them for access to the Syracuse data center or to the NYC colo.
