User Impact:
Services on servers that are single attached to Tier 1 will have a 5-10 minute outage at some point during the 2 hour maintenance window. Tier1 is the main tier and several services will be effected.

Full Description:
Upgrade Tier 1 network switch firmware in the Server Farm, the switches will be upgraded one at a time.\n\nServers that are connected to both a tier 1 and tier 2 switch will use Sun IPMP, Sun Cluster, Linux channel bonding or Windows NIC teaming to keep the ethernet available during the switch upgrade. Servers that are single attached will see a 5-10 minute network outage.
