FLTG returned this RFO:\n\nRFO - At 2:40 PM, on Monday Dec 12th,\na core set of \nrouters went into an unexpected high CPU that resulted in a loss\nof service for traffic traversing a POP in our Southern territory. \n \nIn this\nscenario the routers should have failed over to redundant CPU bud did not. We\nhave a ticket open with the supplier to determine why. Because of the nature of\nthe issue we could not connect to the equipment remotely and had to dispatch a\ntechnician on-site which accounts for the duration of the outage.\n \nFLTG has\nalready purchased additional equipment and is in the process of installing this\nequipment to continue to separate services to better protect our network from\nthese types of events. FLTG will also be purchasing and installing additional\nequipment to allow for alternate remote management options in the event that our\nprimary source of management fails.\n FLTG returned this RFO:\n\nRFO - At 2:40 PM, on Monday Dec 12th,\na core set of \nrouters went into an unexpected high CPU that resulted in a loss\nof service for traffic traversing a POP in our Southern territory. \n \nIn this\nscenario the routers should have failed over to redundant CPU bud did not.
