The DNSdb server providing several functions including Network Registry, Network Quarantine, DNS data, CIT's DHCP data and network management. A DNSdb server outage does not impact ongoing DNS or DHCP services, which are provided by separate servers. It does prevent updates to DNS and DHCP throughout the outage.
