Apps that try to get a database connect string in the moments that the *SERVICE IP* OIDMASTER1.CIT.CORNELL.EDU in the moments that is down on alyssum and has not come up on marigold will get an error but once they try again the query will work.

At 8PM tonight (Thur. 8/25) there will be a momentary outage of the service IP OIDMASTER1.CIT.CORNELL.EDU while it is migrated to another server. This is being done because the server it is running on is experiencing problems and needs to be bounced. The current state of the server is negatively impacting or ability to backup databases.
