Status:

Brief Description:
User Impact:
For all users, there will be a new, Cornell-branded login screen for Outlook Web Access (https://exchange.cornell.edu). Outlook Web Access itself will be the same for most users.\n\nThere should be no other impact for any users except for Apple Mail 4 users.\n\nImpact for Apple Mail 4 users:\n\n * Mailboxes for Apple Mail 4 users will be moved to Exchange Server 2010 early Saturday morning, August 6, from midnight until approximately 8 am. This is a necessary step to avoid disrupting their ability to continue using Apple Mail 4. \n\n * Apple Mail 4 users will not be able to use Apple Mail 4 while their mailbox is being moved. They can use Outlook Web Access (https://exchange.cornell.edu) or another email client during this time.\n\n * The Apple Mail 4 users whose mailboxes are being moved have been notified, and their unit's ITMC representative or point of contact has been informed.\n\n * After their mailbox is moved to Exchange Server 2010, Apple Mail 4 users will have access to a new version of Outlook Web Access, renamed as Outlook Web App. This new version provides full functionality across all supported browsers (Internet Explorer 7 or newer, Firefox 3.0.1 or newer, Safari 3.1 or newer, or Chrome). The URL will still be exchange.cornell.edu\n

This work is in preparation for a campuswide upgrade of the Exchange email and calendar system. It should have no effect on any individuals except those who use Apple Mail 4.\n\nFrom midnight to 8 am, the mailboxes of Apple Mail 4 users will be moved to Exchange Server 2010.
