User Impact:
The immediate affect depends on the client that the user is using. Here are our expectations as to what our users will see.\n\n- Outlook 2007/2010 users should see no affect.\n- All OWA (web) users will see a new signon screen. It is Cornell branded and is now called Outlook Web App. Until the individual mailbox is moved to 2010, the rest of the experience will not change.\n- Outlook 2011 (Mac) users should see no affect.\n- Entourage (Mac, v13 webservices edition, Office 2008) users should see no affect.\n- Entourage (Mac, V12, Office 2004) will break. These users have been contacted directly, and the list is down to only three users.\n- POP/IMAP (Thunderbird) users should see no affect.\n- BES/ActiveSync users should see no affect.\n

Redirect the initial client access point for Exchange from the current 2007 system to the new 2010 system. User experience will not change at this time, except for users of Apple Mail. \nThe change is made by redirecting the DNS A record from prod-lb-exchange.cit.cornell.edu (Exchange 2007) to prod-lb2010-exchange.cit.cornell.edu.
