Testing campus backbone link failures should not impact network connectivity. Wide-area testing will result in brief interruptions (30-45 second) to external service providers as routing protocols converge around the failed links.

Full Description:
On Sunday, July 17, 2011, between the hours of 4am and 7am. CIT-NCS will be conducting biannual network redundancy testing on campus backbone and wide-area links. During this window users may experience multiple (4-5) brief (15-45 second) periods of intermittent connectivity to sites external to Cornell.
