Brief Description:
User Impact:
Content of the uPortal Bear Access tab and links on Bear Access service page to software hosted on the CUFS server will be updated with links to more recent versions of the software and new installers. Links to the same software installers will be added to a revised myCornell portlet. Viewers of these web pages will be able to access updated installers after the change. Basil links to launch applications will not be moved to the myCornell portlet.\n\nUsers of Basil links may continue to use the links in the uPortal Bear Access channel until June 15th when uPortal begins to redirect to MyCornell.\n\nDocumentation on how to launch telnet applications from the client machine will be provided by a link from the web page about using the telnet clients at:\n\nhttp://www2.cit.cornell.edu/bearaccess/telnet/

The software offerings distributed under the name Bear Access have been replaced on the morning of Wednesday, June 1st, with updated versions in the My Cornell portlet called "Recommended Software (Bear Access)".
