User Impact:
Applications that are configured to use only OIDMASTER1.CIT.CORNELL.EDU will not be able to resolve the database connect string while this server is being patched (roughly 30 mins). If they reuse their established connections they will have no problems. Only new connections will be affected during this time

The primary OID (Oracle Internet Directory) server will be down for approximately 30 mins while OS patches are applied. Applications configured to only use the first server will be unable to establish connections.
