On August 13, 2026, the new Zoom User Interface (UI) will be implemented on the Cornell Zoom web portal, prior to a forced vendor change taking place the first week of fall classes. The update will better align the web UI experience with the desktop app.
User Impact:
Users of the Zoom web portal will see the new UI experience enforced at this point. For users who don't interact with the Zoom web portal (working only through Outlook integration, clicking join links, or only using the Zoom desktop app) will not experience any change.

Between 5pm and 6pm on Thursday, August 13, 2026, the new Zoom User Interface (UI) experience will be enabled for the Cornell Zoom web portal (https://cornell.zoom.us). This UI update changes the web portal experience to be closer to the UI of the Zoom desktop app.
The vendor is implementing this change for all users on August 26th, 2026. We are triggering the change ahead of schedule in order to prevent the forced vendor change taking place in the middle of the first week of classes.
