On Friday, September 26, 2025, CIT will implement two new security features to strengthen authentication for Microsoft Admin Portals, including Azure, Entra, Intune, and Microsoft 365.
User Impact:
Only users logging into admin portals will be affected. The only change is the addition of a "Verification Required" screen.

Full Description:
On Friday, September 26, 2025, CIT will implement two new security features to strengthen authentication for Microsoft Admin Portals, including Azure, Entra, Intune, and M365:
- New Multifactor Authentication (MFA) with Duo to comply with Microsoft’s mandatory MFA requirements
- A 10-hour token session limit
The MFA enforcement on admin portals comes with a small change to the login process. After entering your password, you will be prompted to verify your identity with Duo. To learn more about these changes, refer to Changes to Authentication Process for Microsoft Admin Portals.
