What does this change mean for users?
Beginning February 5, the first time that users authenticate with the updated Duo (Two-Step Login) prompt, it will automatically choose the most secure method from those the user has set up at Manage Your Two-Step Login: https://twostep.netid.cornell.edu . Users can authenticate with that method or cancel and choose a different method using the new prompt's Other Options link.

After that first authentication with the new prompt, Duo will select by default the method used most recently. Users can always click the Other Options link to choose a different method from any device they have set up.
