Status:
Closed
Brief Description:
We have received reports that some Skype for Business for Mac users are reporting that other users are unable to contact them or see their presence status
User Impact:
N/A
Workaround:
Affected users may be able to address this issue by logging in to Skype for Business on a Windows machine and going to Options > Status and checking that the radio button is selected for “I want everyone to be able to see my presence.”
Current Status:
If a Mac user’s status option (which can only be changed in Windows) is set to hide presence from anyone who isn’t in their contact list, this also blocks other communications from people who are not in their contact list. Microsoft says this behavior is expected, and suggests either adding users as contacts, or signing into a Windows version of Skype for Business and changing settings to allow anyone to see your presence. Documentation is being updated to reflect this.
Services Affected:
Web and Video Conferencing
